I unfortunately can’t stay down in Florida to manage my business in North Jersey. Liam keeps my boat in great shape, and every weekend it is ready for my family and I to use.

Needed to make an emergency trip and was worried my boat would be left unattended for 2 weeks. Liam was at the boat 3 times each week sending me a detailed report with pictures each time. To add, the boat was cleaner than when I left! I now have weekly washes through S/F Marine and use the ‘Boat Care’ service every time I’m away from the boat too long.

I have been using the care program for a few months now and have been nothing but impressed. I, even, asked them to replace my old, leaky A/C manifold. It was done quickly once parts were in stock, and I was really impressed with the communication from S/F. Nothing but the best! A/C’s running great!

Frequently asked questions.

Why do I need to join the care program?2026-01-26T18:12:44+00:00

If you are an owner needing assistance with maintenance or an owner/captain leaving the boat alone for a week or more, you can trust an ABYC certified captain to make sure your investment is well taken care of. The weekly reports offer assurance that your boat is operating as normal with time-stamped pictures attached.

What if there is a problem on the boat during one of the checks?2026-02-05T20:52:27+00:00

Priority One is to abate and take control of the identified problem. Priority Two, once problem or issue is under control is to immediately contact the owner. Rest assured that as an ABYC certified technician we will work to investigate and diagnose the problem and work with the owner to develop a plan of action to rectify and correct any problem ASAP. Also note that the all SF Marine technicians carry 290 GPM gas powered water pumps, and an ABC fire extinguisher in addition to other common marine tools.

What is propspeed and how often should I apply?2026-01-26T18:14:31+00:00

The Propspeed® coating system is recognised globally as the best prevention of marine growth and fouling of propellers, running gear and all other underwater metals.

Propspeed® is the industry standard for running gear and all other underwater metal. It is applied to sanded and cleaned metal. A primer coat is applied with a clear coat over top giving the metal an almost “shiny gold” appearance. Under standard use, it is recommended to remove old Propspeed® and reapply annually during a boat’s yard time.

I hit a crab pot coming back from the Keys and I know there is a small gouge in the boat. Will this be addressed during a bottom paint job?2026-01-26T18:15:19+00:00

Yes, any problem with the bottom of the boat will be addressed. Fiberglass work, fairing, cleaning or replacement of scoops/grates, and ‘spot’ barrier coating where necessary.

*Fiberglass work, fairing, replacement of scoops/grates will require additional costs.
