Captain Liam Mulhall – USCG OUPV 50 Ton Master

A lifelong boater and fisherman, I grew up in Ocean City New Jersey in a boat crazed family. Dual boat owners, my parents owned a 46-foot sailboat that was competitively raced up and down the East Coast in addition to a 52 Viking convertible that we used to routinely fish the North East Canyons in the summer and Florida sailfish in the winter. As a 12-year-old, I was a crew member for the Newport to Bermuda sailboat race and later that same summer I was fishing competitively in the White Marlin Open and Mid-Atlantic Fishing tournaments. Boating and fishing was infused into e at an early age.

After graduating from Ocean City High School (NJ), I attended Bucknell University on a Dean Academic Scholarship. With the chaos caused by the Covid Pandemic and the alterations it made to my college education, I decided to follow my passion and seek a career in the marine industry. I left Bucknell and enrolled in ATG Marine Technical School where I graduated with honors as a Certified Marine Technician. During my tenure at ATG, I was nationally recognized at the SkillsUSA National Competition in Atlanta, Georgia, earning 2nd place in the Marine Service Technology competition. After completing my Marine Tech education, I spent two years working at Duffie Boatworks (Ocean City, Maryland) where I learned, in intricate detail, what truly goes into building, repairing, and maintaining sportfishing boats.
